Firm Administrator
Key position responsible for a wide range of activities with involvement in all phases of administration, human resources, finances, facilities, and marketing. Reports to Management Committee, and will work on firm-wide policy setting, problem solving and decision making. Organize and direct the day-to-day operations of the firm and implementation of firm policies. BA in Accounting or Business Administration, CPA preferred, minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably with public accounting firm, Microsoft Office skills, and effective supervisory skills.
Audit Staff Accountant
We are looking for a candidate interested in pursuing a career in governmental auditing. You would be working with a team at client sites, preparing, analyzing, maintaining, and reviewing financial statements, records and reports, participating in interviews of client’s staff to elicit factual information, and assisting in drafting audit reports. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, entry level to one year of prior auditing experience, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills. Preference will be given to the candidate who is working toward the CPA exam or has 150 hours ready to sit for exam.
Position available in either our Houston or Texas City office.
Audit Manager
Supervise total audit process with specialization in governmental auditing. Responsibilities include preparing the audit program for approval, including timeline, budget, scheduling and personnel required,managing the audit/assurance process, supervising and training employees, and participating in practice development for the firm.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, 5 years of previous auditing experience, CPA license, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, and effective client service skills.
Business Development Tax Manager
Challenging opportunity for someone who can successfully lead our business development efforts, grow and maintain client relationships, who also has the technical expertise to manage our tax department. Key position within our firm. Partnership track.Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of tax experience, 5+ years of business development experience, BA in Accounting, CPA, along with analytical, leadership, and project management skills.
Tax Staff Accountant
Join our tax team and assist in preparation of all types of tax returns and schedules. Requires BA in Accounting and at least one year of previous tax preparation experience. Prefer applicant who is CPA or CPA eligible. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills required; CCH Engagement and CCH ProSystem Tax software skills preferred.
